Not only did the New York Toy Fair reveal several new toys including new dinosaur figures and LEGOs but it’s rumored that Mattel also dropped a hint about a Jurassic World live action short film. The short film is rumored to premiere before Hobbs and Shaw which releases to Theaters on August 2nd. I say rumored because the original video covering the new toys has been taken down due to copyright claims, so I wasn’t able to watch the video myself.

“We have a new species, the Nasutoceratops coming out, it’s a tongue twister, along with our Allosaurus. They’re gonna be featured in a live-action short pre-roll that’s going to play before the new Fast and Furious movie [Hobbs and Shaw] summer 2019. So keep an eye out for that.”

Beyond what the quote reveals little is known about this short. It could be a cannon teaser for the next film or could have nothing to do with the Jurassic World storyline at all, Only time will tell, but personally, I’m hoping for the former as June 2021 is a long time to wait for Jurassic World 3!
